We know that these are challenging times, and as our community continues to execute contingency plans for Coronavirus, we wanted to address some common questions that we have received:
About the scalability of Open LMS
As more institutions and organizations have started to increase their use of online learning as part of their contingency strategies for Coronavirus, there are questions towards if the Open LMS platform is going to respond to their user growth and usage increase expectations.
In this regard, we want to reassure that we are committed to supporting you during this phase and that we are working with our technology partners and internal engineering teams to make sure we have a robust operation to respond to your needs. Our cloud-based technologies allow us to scale in times of heavy usage to the maximum extent possible.
Sources of information and practices
This Blog is a useful resource to bookmark. We'll keep adding important updates and resources that you can use for your initiatives.
Another great resource is our Youtube Channel. Notably, the how-to video playlist that we have available covers common resources for online learning: how to create courses, quizzes, etc.
In addition, user guides for administrators, instructors, and learners are available in our help site. These include detailed information about product components.
We also recommend joining the Continuity of Education discussion group or Open LMS discussion space in Blackboard Community.
