Driving Innovation: 21 New Features (and More!)

In 2024, we unveiled 21 new features and 50 new components, alongside six upgrades, including a major update to version 4.4 for Open LMS EDU and version 3.3 for Open LMS WORK this December. These enhancements reflect our dedication to providing an ever-evolving platform that meets the diverse needs of educators and learners alike. Here are some of the key features we launched in 2024:

• Taxonomies: Create hierarchical frameworks to group and categorize users.
• Related User Functionality: More easily facilitate connections between users in the system.
• Open Report Engine (ORE) Blocks: Enhanced reporting capabilities for better insights.
• Open Report Engine (ORE) Sources: Expanded data sources for more comprehensive analytics.
• Dynamic Cohorts: Automate cohort creation and user assignment with flexible rules.
• Certifications: Define programs with validity periods and optional re-certification.
• Honorlock Integration: Incorporate proctoring solutions for secure assessments.
• Open Sesame Integration: Access curated online learning content.
• User Development Plans (UDPs): Assign courses, programs, and milestones to guide user growth.
• Marketing Slides: Add image sliders to any block-supported section.
• AI Text to Images: Generate engaging visuals with AI.
• AI Text to Questions: Automate question generation for assessments.
• AI-Assisted Editor for TinyMCE: Empower users to refine and create course materials efficiently.
• Tiny Plugins: Add new functionalities to the TinyMCE editor.

Strengthening Partnerships: Expanding Our Client Community

Our client base flourished this year, bringing more customers to the Open LMS community than ever before. We’re proud to highlight our longest-standing client, the University of Canberra, which has been with us for an impressive 16 and a half years since April 2008. Additionally, we resolved an extraordinary 15,459 client tickets, ensuring top-notch support across the board.
