Free eLearning Courses From Open LMS Support Staff Well-Being and Celebrate Mental Health Month
Open LMS is offering support to organizations and their staff through its free mental health course series to help employees stay healthy and raise awareness on this important topic in recognition of Mental Health Month.
Indianapolis, IN—May 14, 2021—Open LMS, a leading provider of corporate training solutions through its powerful open-source learning management systems, is a strong advocate of healthy workplaces and seeks to help organizations with the pressing issue of mental health through its free mental health course series.
Designed by the same team that won awards from LearnX in 2020 for Best eLearning Design team, the free mental health eLearning series includes four courses. Topics include how to improve mental and emotional health, and how to care for mental health during quarantine (or working from home).
While many companies understand the importance of mental health among employees and are keen to address it, a lack of expertise or resources may hinder them to successfully bring the topic to light among their staff. Open LMS, which also specializes in creating tailored online courses, aims to mobilize teams and conversations around mental health and bring awareness to an issue that can affect anyone.
"At Open LMS, we truly value the importance of mental health, especially since the pandemic, where individuals are feeling more isolated and vulnerable. We turn to technology to aid us in spreading mental health awareness,” said Shaye Pum-arporn, Director of Marketing at Open LMS. “We are in such a privileged position to be able to help with our skills to create these online courses that are available off-the-shelf and at no cost for organizations to support staff well-being. We currently have over 630 organizations signed up for these free courses and we are receiving fantastic feedback on how much it helps them to provide this added support to their staff."
Organizations can sign up to receive the free courses until May 31, 2021. Once signed up, courses are delivered on a weekly basis, with the option to continue receiving additional courses on diverse workplace-related topics. Currently, there are 25+ courses available, also released on a weekly basis.
"We’re excited to share these courses with all organizations that seek to support their staff, as a part of our commitment to our customers and our wider social responsibility. These courses come as SCORM packages, ready for you to download and easily install into your existing learning management system—whether that’s Open LMS or any other content delivery platform," said Dean Saunders, VP of Product at Open LMS.
